Reem Yehia Kamel Elsayed – Egypt
Reem Elsayed is a pharmacist working as a senior technical officer and researcher at Egypt Healthcare Authority, the government agency responsible for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Egypt.
Reem has recently published several articles in international networks and journals addressing topics related to UHC, youth engagement in public health in Africa, and access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). Reem also recently graduated from “Women Lead in Egyptian Governorates program” at the National Training Academy, Egypt, 2024.
Committed to achieving health equity and gender equality beyond Egypt, Reem has over eight years of experience as a volunteer and project manager in different local and international non-governmental organizations in Egypt, America, and South Africa.
She is an associate alumnus of Harvard Medical School from the Egypt Clinical Scholar Research Training Program (ECSRT). As a Mandela Rhodes scholar, she holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies (with a focus on Global Health) from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
